A crown is a “cap” that sits on top of the remaining tooth structure to restore and protect the remaining tooth structure. They are usually indicated for heavily restored, broken down or root treated teeth. Crowns can either be made from gold alloy, porcelain bonded to metal or all-porcelain.
Removable dentures can be used to remove some or all teeth. Dentures can be made using either all acrylic or with a metal framework.
